Can anyone understand these records?

In the record below, I'm trying to understand these baptism records?

For example, near the bottom right it states: "20 Novemb proles Jacobi Gardein Suscept Joe Sabbe & Magdalena v Schuere".

Seeing this, I would guess Jacobus Gardein is the child, but apparently that would be the father.

The child would be called Magdalena, but I'm not seeing it.

The -i ending in Jacobi is called the "genitive case". proles=child, so proles Jacobi= child of Jacobus.

It seems to me that the child's name is not mentioned. Magdalena appears to be the mother.

Thank you for explaining the genitive case, I didn't know that.

I think Joannes Sabbe and Magdalena Van Schuere are the godparents, godparents always seem to follow some word begining with "sus" (or something similar).

On top of that, I know of a Magdalena Van Schuere nearby that was married to Jan Du Jardin (Gardein), she was likely the grandmother.

Yes, I agree. Magdalena is the godmother not the mother. It is rather unusual to record only the father and not the child or mother.

Endings in -ae are the genitive case for words ending in -a. Latin is what they call a Inflected Language, meaning that the endings of words change according to its role in the sentence. The FS Wiki pages explains this well: https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Latin_Genealogical_Word_List

    I hope this is useful.
