Trying to find Uncles in Japan or Korea from war time
Hi,
I'm trying to find my lost family members. My Grandfather William Errol Lowah (9/1/1928 - 1982). He served in the Australian Army from 1943 - 1957.
During this time in Korea/Japan, William had one or two sons. One called Billson and Michael or something like that.
In 2020 those sons would be about 63 - 77 years old.
One of the sons visited Australia (Queensland I believe) looking for their father after 1982 but they were advised their father had died and they never made contact with my mum and her siblings in Northern Territory, Australia.
Is anyone able to help. I don't know their mothers name. All I know is my Grandfather is full Torres Strait Islander and the sons are either Japanese or Korean from their mother.
thank you
LIssa

That's great to see William Errol Lowah and his family in Family Tree. I believe that his descendants in Japan or Korea can find his name and can connect their family with him in the future.
"William Errol Lowah" Is this the exact name and surname that known to the descendants in Japan or Korea? If not, you can add the name they known at the Alternate Name in Family Tree, so that they can find him.
If you are finding his sons in Japan and Korea. It would be helpful if you know their exact name, surname, and place they are living.
