How to find information on Passenger Lists for Indentured labourers/Indians/Coolies from India to Br
My ancestors would have travelled from India to British Guiana on British Ships which arrived in British Guiana with labourers to work the sugar plantations in British Guiana. The first ship arrived in 1838 and I think it was the" Whitby". I would be most grateful for help on this subject. Thank you. Tara

Hello, I have been trying for many years to find out about my ancestors who travelled from India to Guyana, some as indentured labourers under the British, around 1830. There is so much informantion about where to look but I have just not been able to find the right source.
Where can I look for information on Ships arrival in British Guiana around 1830 and Passenger names. Thank you.
