SURNAME DNA GROUPS/PROJECTS
FamilyTreeDNA - has various SURNAME GROUPS that one can join after they submit their DNA test.

Does Ancestry.com have DNA surname groups also?
If they do they seem to be hiding (maybe because I havent taken a test with Ancestry)
or, after thinking a bit about it - - maybe because one of the main tests for surname groups at FamilyTree is YDNA testing - and YDNA usually mirrors the surname line.
Whereas Ancestry.com does not do YDNA testing - and thus maybe doesnt have the need for surname groups (for DNA)
It really is interesting the analysis of YDNA - among a group of people with a given surname. and how the groups consolidate into various subgroups with common YDNA inheritance.
