Not sure you've done anything wrong. When you go out of your record and then go back to it, is the information there for your children? We can't view living people. so it's hard to tell. Please let me know what happens when you go out of your record and back into it. This will be beneficial to others who have come across something like this. Thanks for using FamilySearch.

Thanks for a rapid response. I've already been in and out several times and the result is the same, still the pulsing. I suspect it might be me inputting something incorrectly as that part of the tree does not look right.
I might have another look tomorrow to see if I can figure it out. A granddaughter is very pleased to see a relationship between her and the writer Horatio Walpole and his brother Sir Robert Walpole, the first prime minister. Something to tell her friends at school next week...

It's great to hear you granddaughter will be able to share her ancestry at school. If you continue to have problems let me know so we can resolve the issue. Check your dates, etc. and see if maybe something is out of line there. I have many living relatives in my line and have never come across this before, so if other's experience this same problem we need to take a closer look. Thanks for contacting me.

I'll keep in touch. Good to know that there are folk out there to put the family into FamilySearch. More later.

The problem doesn't seem to exist on an iPad.
On the iMac it also doesn't seem to exist in portrait. Back to landscape and clicking on grandchildren now also reveals a blank box with a shadow left in the background as I go down the list.
So, maybe a software problem to have a look at tomorrow.

Michael, It does sound like a software problem, but than again I'm not up to speed on iMac. Have you tried rebooting your computer? Since it comes up OK on an iPad, it doesn't seem to be a FamilySearch issue.
You did bring to mind a funny story when I was about 6 years old. My grandmother told me about a hero in Mexico who was my great uncle. My grandmother was born in Mexico and her father was from Texas. So...I went to school and shared my story and got laughed right out the classroom. I was a little blond girl who had no Mexican features. I quit believing my grandmother's stories. It has come to pass all her stories were true! How I wish I could hear her stories today.
Have a great evening and lets hope it's a minor software problem.
