From Norwegian Digital Archive: Need help reading birth record of Anne, #51

In the parents information, I think it reads:

"Ind. Johs. Pedersen Bjorgehagen e? Engr- Hftr. Marit Hansdatter"

Does "Ind." before the father's name mean "inderst"- a person who rented a room from others and had his own household??

I know Bjorgehagen is the farm name, but what are the next words before the mother's name?

Many thanks!

    Ind. is probably "inderst".

It appears to me that the words "Bjørgehagen ??? Enge" are referring to the farm.

There is a farm "Borgen Engeland", in Ringebu parish, listed in Oluf Ryghs "Norwegian Farm Names" here: https://www.dokpro.uio.no/perl/navnegransking/rygh_ng/rygh_soek.prl?s=e&AMT=Kristians+amt&start=Search&HERRED=&SOGN=&GNAVN=&GNR=&LITTREF=&REFORDF=&BIND=&SIDE=&SOEKESTRENG=&med_amt=on&med_herred=on&med_sogn=on&konkordanse_streng=hurtigliste&sort_tfunn=-&sort_amt=1&sort_herred=2&sort_sogn=3&sort_gard=4 .

The word immediately preceding the mother's name is "Hstr." meaning "wife".

Perhaps @Liv Anderson2 could help with this.

    Norm is correct, it reads.

Anne born 18 September and christened 14 October 1832

Parents: Ind (Inderst) Johs. Pedersen [of] Bjørgehagen Enge. (This is the name of the farm where they lived)

    Hstr. (Hustru) Marit Hansdatter

Thank you Norm and Liv! So the word "Enge" after the farm name of Bjorgehagen, what does that mean? Google translate tells me it means Angel, but I don't think that's what it means here :)

Enge actually mean field. It means Bjørgehagen field.
