Can anyone tell me how the Perform Next button is supposed to work in the filter for My Reservations

That is a very good question ...
.
The question about the "Perform Next" 'Button'; as, a "Filter", in the "Temple" 'Tab', was recently brought up, some 17 Hours ago, in the 'FamilySearch' ("GetSatisfaction") 'Feedback' Forum:
.
Here is the "Texts" of those posts (but, without "Images") in that Forum ...
[ Plus, there is also a 'link' to those posts, where you can see the "Images" ]

Now there is a new filter called 'perform next'. No idea what that is supposed to mean, but maybe it means it will filter out people who are ready for endowments (prior ordinances complete). But, nope it doesn't do that either...
.
It does filter out the people who have endowments complete, but it still shows people that need initiatory. So they are not actually ready for endowment.

And ...

A couple more views. Here, the 'perform next' filter is applied with initiatory selected.
.
Message is 'No Reservations found'.

.
But I have many people who still need initiatory done, including several that have completed baptism and conf and are indeed READY to be done, yet the filter fails to find them...
.
The view below shows one person (William Clifford Luke) who needs and is ready for initiatory as proof that there are people in this category on my list. There are many more if I were to scroll down (and open new pages).
.
I don't understand what the 'perform next' filter is supposed to do, but it is not any help in finding ordinances that are ready.

As yet there has been NO response from an "Official 'FamilySearch' Representative", to those above posts.
.
Plus, as yet, I could NOT find a "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySearch' that indicates/details the "Desired" Function of the "Perform Next" 'Button'; as, a "Filter", in the "Temple" 'Tab'.
.
The "Perform Next" 'Button'; as, a "Filter", in the "Temple" 'Tab' is a NEW feature/function/facility; and, as such, the "Knowledge Article(s)" in 'FamilySearch' would NOT have been updated to include that yet ...
.
If an "Official 'FamilySearch' Representative" responds to the above questions/concern in the 'FamilySearch' ("GetSatisfaction") 'Feedback' Forum, if I notice, I will try to relay such here in this post of yours.

.
ps: I have my thoughts, on the matter; but, would prefer not to speculate - it appears to have some problems/issues, just like all NEW features/functions/facilities (ie. "Bugs"), when released.

The answer is in the Help Centre, on FamilySearch, in this article: How do I filter my family names list?
It says Perform Next. View the family names according to what ordinance can be performed next.

FYI
.
That "Knowledge Article" could have related to ANY 'Name' LIST.
.
I tried many permutations; but, they all included something to do with, "Temple", or, such Work - I am pretty good with 'jagging' the right word or words; but, not this time.
.
Here is a link to that "Knowledge Article' referred to by 'Karen':

Furthermore ...
.
And, an update to that post I referred to in the 'FamilySearch' ("GetSatisfaction") 'Feedback' Forum ...

Here is a response from an "Official 'FamilySearch' Representative" ...

It looks like they have this new filter fully functional now. It's a really nice feature.
Click on the filter "Perform Next" and you only see one ordinance by each name which is the next ordinance that person can have done. Go down to the "Filter By Ordinance" section and uncheck all but one such as Endowment, for example. Now your reservation list shows only individuals who need their endowment and who have B/C/I all completed. It also shows you a count of how many people fall into this category.
Now, because SP in an individual ordinance for the child and we are to complete all individual ordinance if we are responsible for any of the ordinances, the filter does show SP as Perform next when you get to that point even if the parents ordinances are not complete. This is because we are suppose to complete SP for the husbands and wives of our aunts and uncles but are not suppose to do ordinances for the parents of those spouses.
Also, not surprisingly, SS always shows up even if none of the individual ordinances are completed for one or both of the couple. There must be some really complex programming issues with that one. So we still need to check that manually if we want to take care to complete all ordinances for the couple first.
