Try editing his death date vital. You should be able to select "Living".
However, it has been a while since I've done this. I know that it normally should not be "Easy" to do this since it can create problems and depends on who actually created the initial record. The system may require you to submit a request on this to the help desk. For now, you might just try making the change and seeing what the system prompts you to do.

I did try that several times; but it wouldn’t allow me to save the change. Thank you. I’m the one who made the initial record. Where is the help desk? I couldn’t find it on the home page.

On the top right area of most FS web pages you will find a "?" in a circle icon (i.e., the help icon). If you go to that and select the "Contact Us" menu item, the phone number for the help desk is located there. Call them and explain the accidental setting of the death value and they should be able to fix it up for you directly.
Since you created the record and are requesting the change, the record should be placed into your private space where you will still see it.
