Request assistance translating a Death Record
Hello! Would someone mind helping me with the details of this death record for Vincenzo Chiaradia? I can make out his wife Cherubina Mastrolorenzo and I see Youngstown, Ohio mentioned where she settled - but cannot make out the details of his passing - looks like he was in hospital - but was Cherubina away at the time? Also, having trouble determining the exact date of death as I see several mentioned. Thank you so much!

He was admitted to the hospital 24 May 1907 and died the 31 May 1907. The cause was something to do with his throat. Doctors from the hospital in Youngstown signed the document. It was sent to Altamonte, Italy where it was transcribed into the record at the request of Cherubina Mastrolorenzo who presented it to them in person. It was received in city hall on 18 August 1907. The record also states that she was a resident of Altomonte. He read his transciption out loud to Cherubina Mastrolorenzo because the was illiterate and could not read it.

Thank you so much, Ruth - this is very helpful. I didn't realize he had lived in Youngstown and thought his passing had occurred in Italy. One more piece of the family puzzle solved - thanks again! All the best! Aimee
