I am writing because we are trying to obtain information for my husband's family from Nocera Umbra i
grandparents during our first trip to Italy, 18 years ago. During our two subsequent visits we have returned to Nocera Umbra and asked them to send us information. They promised to do so, but we have not received anything back from them. We did not think to ask about records for the Catholic churches that used to exist in Nocera while we were there. We spoke with some missionaries at the family history center in Salt Lake when we were there two years ago and wrote to some places that we found while we were there and still have not obtained any additional information. I thought of contacting someone in the church there and asking for help that way, but I have looked on the church's website and cannot locate a family history center anywhere in Perugia. There are some films available in the catalog, but none of these is very complete. Thank you, in advance, for your assistance!

Unfortunately, All that I can see about Nocera Umbra is what you have said, the records that are available online are spotty. That may be partially due to a severe earthquake in that occurred in 1997, which according to Wikipedia, was still not fully rebuilt as of 2014.
The best suggestion that I can give you is this page from the FamilySearch Wiki regarding Perugia/Umbria which includes instructions for writing for both the civil registration records and church records, including how to find the addresses to write to.

Thank you for investigating. If you have any suggestions for how we might obtain Catholic church records in this area, we would appreciate it.
