My family Lineage.
I can trace to my Great Grandfather (Richard Simpson) b.1860 d. 1933. He was married to (Elizabeth) b. November 6 1856 d. May 7 1923. I believe that Richard Simpson's Father was John Simpson. I can find where my family tree start, but everything in between is just mumble jumbo to me. James Simpson b. 1537 d.? His wife's name was Isobel Henderson b. 1541. d? They both were born and died in Dunfermline Fife, Scotland. They were married May 14, 1572. I'm sorry but that is all the information I can provide. William Simpson

Was Richard Simpson born in Missouri? Do you know when his wife was born or died?

William, it sounds like you must be looking at information found in a tree somewhere, but not necessarily a tree that you helped create. The best way to learn about your family is to start with your closest relatives and look for documentation that confirms what you already know. As you find pieces of information, you will add a few more details to your tree.
I am presuming that this is your family listed in the FamilySearch tree:

Do you also have a tree on Ancestry.com?

Carolyn, the only information that I have is the following. From what I can tell the beginning was with James Simpson b. 1537 d. ? His wife was Isobel Henderson b. 1541 d. ? I am lost there until I get to my Great Grand Father Richard Simpson b. Feb 21,1860 in Indiana d. Jan 1, 1933 in Carthage, Missouri. I am sure but don't hold me to this his Father's name was John Simpson and his Mother was Elizabeth Jones. His wife, and there appears to be two, was a Sarah Bowers b. ? d.? They were Married April 11, 1886 In Middletown, Indiana. Her parents were her Father, Joseph Bowers and her Mother's name was Nancy Brown. The other wife I find is Elizabeth b. Nov. 6, 1856 d. May 7, 1923. Richard is buried at Park Cemetery along with his son (my Grand Father John Fredrick Simpson) b. 1901 d. 1969 and his son my Father Robert Max Simpson b. 1927 d. 2005 The two wives of Richard I think is what is throwing me off!
