You have an exact place in Sweden for Johanna's husband, could Johanna and her parents be from the same place?

I have attached Johanna's birth record to family search. Johanna was illegitimate and no father is mentioned.

Enid seems to be a girls name. The best strategy would be to follow Olena in the household records and see if he is living close by.

@JudithDalebout1 JudithDalebout1 I'm going to go look at this. Thanks so much.

@JudithDalebout1 JudithDalebout1 I've been told this also I think I'll remove Enid as an alternate name.

@Tanner Blair Tolman I appreciate your direction. The exact place for Johanna's husband was entered into FamilySearch before I ever got on. I haven't found any source to prove that's where he's from. I appreciate that someone entered the information, but how do I know if it's true? Any suggestions?

the only source for Johanna's father is his death record. The father is listed as F Johnson. But who gave that information? She is dead so the informant could be a spouse or child. So it's not a very good source. The fact that she is using Johnson as her maiden name instead of her mom's last name (Andersdotter) means her mother knew who the father was.

@JudithDalebout1 JudithDalebout1 I have done much search for her family and not found anything yet. Any suggestions where to turn my research on Olena or anyone else?

yes, her mother's father is Olaus Andersson. you can correct his info. There is no way he was born in 1840. Anna Hansdotter's fathers name should be Hans

Her birth record is attached. You could probably find her siblings also

Ok I see she has two sets of parents. Just unlink the wrong ones

Also you can do descendancy research, which is all I do now

@JudithDalebout1 JudithDalebout1 Could you please point out the words that indicate the illegitimate part? I there any more of Johanna's mother's name I might be missing? I sure love all these new incites. Thanks you.😊

It doesn't say in the birth record but the fact the mother is a piga indicates she is Illegitimate and no father is listed. On the household record I attached on the right side says she is illegitimate. The work is öakta.
If you want her full name look up her birth record.

I'm confused. Who has two sets of parents?

@JudithDalebout1 JudithDalebout1 Wow! This stuff is really interesting! Does piga stand for Miss, meaning she's single? What does the word Oakta mean?

OLena’s mother Hanna has two sets of parents. You need to be on her person page to see both sets

@JudithDalebout1 JudithDalebout1 I really, really appreciate your vital help. I see the record you attached to Olena Anderdotter. I just can't make out the words before that part of her name. Nor the first part of Johanna's. What does it say?
Are the words part of their names or descriptive words?

The words before Johanna are defs dotter, meaning her daughter. i don't know what that word is before Leona. I think the F. means born. Piga means single girl worker. Oakta is illegitamate.
