History of Counties
An excellent source for biographies for our ancestors can be found in Histories of Counties. The Histories can provide names, dates and places that can be attached to our ancestors as sources and memories. The histories may even include anecdotes about our ancestors. You can search for these histories by using the card catalog in Family Search ie.
Check them out.

@Steve Walker16 Good morning! The links in your post direct back to your post. When I searched for “Histories of Counties” FamilySearch the link returned stopped in error. Do you have a link to Histories of Counties?

The links at the bottom of the post ie. County Histories, Familysearch Card Catalog and Sources are just topics that you can use when you are first in a Group that would lead you to posts about those subjects so that you do not have to scroll through all the posts.
There is no link just for "Histories of Counties". To find a history of a particular county you would need to go to the FamilySearch Card Catalog. In my example I went to the Card Catalog and entered the place (United States, Indiana, Clinton), hit the search button and under the results I looked for "History".

The FamilySearch Catalog has some amazing treasures. In addition to looking up County Histories, you can look up surnames and find books. This works well for unusual names, or names from particular places. I was surprised to find a book about an unusual surname that I was searching. It was written by a man that had a genealogist trace his family back to about 1400 in Germany. The information that was shared was incredible. I wish that the sources had been better documented in the book. As more records have become available online, I have been able to duplicate the research that this genealogist did in the court houses of Germany.
