Help! I need a translation for the birth record of Christine Coolens. It should be record #36 on this page: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS1W-9SSL-6?i=164&cat=107758. I am particularly interested in her parents' names. Thanks, Meg

9 May the child of Killis (or Cillis, but I think it's a k here) Coolen and Maijke Vell (it's probably really Velt, but the t is uncrossed. If it is Velt, then you will probably see Veld as another spelling) named Christin (there is perhaps an e or a at the end), godfather Jacques Sebastian, godmother Christin (I see no vowel after the final n, so that leads me to think that the same applies to the child's name.) Velt (same as above. I really think it's just an uncrossed t.)

Don't get too hung up on the spellings of the names. You will see a lot of variation from document to document for any person.
