.
RAAF, of course, the "Royal Australian Air Force".
.
My dad was in the RAAF, as well.
.
I too have his Military Papers.
.
There were NO photographs of him in Uniform with those Papers either - only one of him in 'Civies' on Enlistment.
.
I am lucky, I do have one of him in Uniform; but, that was NOT from his Military Papers.
.
Have you looked in the "National Archives of Australia" (NAA), to see if there is anything other than the Papers you already have:
.
https://recordsearch.naa.gov.au/SearchNRetrieve/Interface/SearchScreens/BasicSearch.aspx
.
Have to looked in "Trove" (ie. Newspapers and other) of NAA?
.
I hope this helps.

I am going to move this question to our @Military Records group. Maybe there will be some additional answers shared there.

Hi, wasn't able to find a picture at any of those places.( His Service Number 165117, he was in the RAAF enlisted in 1944,)
I'm going on another tack now, I am trying to find out who were the aunts who helped raise him , as his mother died when he was 6. I only have their first names, I've been trying to find his Methodist baptism certificate in the hope it has his godparents names on it. He was born in Scotland in 1916, His name is Ian Fraser McKellar, his mother is Agnes (nee Forsyth) his father John Fraser, died in France in WW1.
I've been onto the Scotlands people site, its very hard to navigate, and I think the covid situation has put things on hold in Scotland.
Anyway, any help you can give, directions you can send me to would be most helpful
regards
Greg
