How Best to untangle Families

This mother Sidse Sørensdatter

16 November 1820 – Deceased

 • KPW4-28Y

has two families. I have researched the children born in Grejs, Vejle, Denmark but I'm not sure how to untangle Sidse without creating duplications. Before I begin I thought I might ask for some suggestions on how to begin.

Do you have the correct information for the parents of these children? If you don't, the census records help identify their correct names, ages and birth places. With such common names I'm sure there are many attached records that are likely incorrect. If the correct parents are in the tree you could simply "replace" them. If they aren't in the tree then you can add them and then replace the incorrect ones. I think each person might take a different approach. If you need help, I'm happy to lend a hand. https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/9XTQ-HW4

David, you have the good fortune of the family in the 1860 census in Grejs where it lists the mother of Christen Nielsen, she is Johanne Sørensdatter 80 years old. Christen was born abt. 1814 in Grejs, this does not match any of the info presently seen in the FS tree. Clipboard01

Probable 1815 christening for Christen, but more study would be needed. Mother matches name in the 1860 census. https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=397230#397230,74430082

1 May 1847 marriage of Christen Nielsen 32 to Sidsel Marie Sørensdatter 21. They marry in the parish Vindelev which is next door to Grejs. https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=397510#397510,74436977 also seen here. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QG8V-C473
