I have found the death record for Dominicus Vanhaverbeke here: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61
If I am reading it correctly he is the son of Engelberth(?), originally from Izegem, and aged 86 years when he died. I can not find his birth in the Izegem indexes or any reference to an Engelberth in any of the Izegem indexes under any of the various spellings of Vanhaverbeke. First, have I read his father's name correctly? Second, any suggestions of towns that may have been close enough to Izegem to be considered part of that community? Many thanks!

The name is Engelberti; so that would be suggestive to the idea that he went by Engelbertus.
Izegem can be problematic to find anyone, one time it belonged to Doornik(Tournai), an other time to Ghent,or even to Brugge.
I would personally try Ingelmunster, as most hospitals in those days were there.

("ex isenghem" does not necessarily mean that he was born in ...)
(*)Count Engelbert II of Berg, also known as Saint Engelbert, Engelbert of Cologne, Engelbert I, Archbishop of Cologne or Engelbert I of Berg, Archbishop of Cologne (1185 or 1186, Schloss Burg – 7 November 1225, Gevelsberg) was archbishop of Cologne and a saint; he was notoriously murdered by a member of his own family.
