How to transfer my tree information from Ancestry to Family Search?

The best way is manually. There are more complete explanations already in this group if you would like to look at previous posts (fairly recent). In essence, FamilySearch FamilyTree is intended to be one world tree shared with everyone - not individual trees like Ancestry has. Starting with yourself, add your parents and if they are deceased, first check to see that they are not already in the system. Continue by looking to add your grandparents and so on, each time adding whoever is not already there and linking yourself to anyone who does have an existing record. As you link to existing records, this will automatically link you to others in the same line. If you find duplicate records, it is best to merge them so that each individual will have only one record.

As has already been suggested ...
.
Enter (ie. "Create"), if need be, the individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" one at a time - on a one by one basis.
.
Do not bring them over from "Ancestry_com" ...
.
Many of the individuals/persons most probably ALREADY exist in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".
.
Use the "Find" facility/function/feature to Search "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch", you may be surprised to find some (if not, many) of them ALREADY there.
.
Many well established and documented (eg. "Sourced") individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" have been RUINED by the upload of the (undocumented and unsourced) "Pedigrees" from "Ancestry_com" and the like.
.
Many NEW Users/Patrons DO NOT even take the time to look to see if any one in their "Ancestry_com" (or, the like) Account ALREADY in "Family Tree", in some instances, negating the need to even upload those individuals/persons.
.
You may only be required to be enter one or two generations of the "Living" Family members (and, maybe be one or two of the "Deceased" Family members) in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch"; before, you find some of the "Deceased" individuals/persons from Ancestral lines ALREADY existing in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".
.
If an individual/person is ALREADY in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch", there is NO need to up uploaded one's version of that individual/person from one's "Ancestry_com" (or, the like) Account.
.
Now ...
That said ...
.
We do not have our OWN "Tree" in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".
.
We ONLY have "Branches", that are interconnected, in this SINGLE "One" World "Tree", for all of us, that is "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".
.
"Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" is NOT like "Ancestry_com" or the like.
.
We DO NOT have "Private"/"Personal" 'Trees' in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" like other "Websites"; and/or, 'standalone' personal programmes.
.
We do not even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, the "Deceased" individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".
.
"Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" is built on a "Open Edit" Platform - hence, why any registered User/Patron can "Edit" (ie. Add, Delete; and/or, Change) ANY "Deceased" individual/person in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".
.
I hope this helps.

I am a RootsMagic user. Also an Ancestry user. RootsMagic has a free version called Essentials if you don't have it. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles as the purchased version and may not have the ability to do the upload and download. Roots Magic can receive various versions of databases. Roots Magic has a way to upload from your Ancestry Tree to or from Roots Magic if you have both subscriptions. RootsMagic and FamilySearch Family Tree have ways of sharing information. If you don't have one of those subscriptions, perhaps you have a friend who can help. But it can be done easily. The pictures can come down also from Ancestry. In the past, I have set up my RootsMagic database next to the Family Search page and did a drop and drag of information from one to another after making sure it is correct. Lots of information on Family Search. Your families could already be on their site. I would hate for you to have to redo your work. Actually, I believe there is a way to upload your tree or a gedcom of your data to Family search. I may be wrong but I think I remember that possibility when using Family Search
