Research Resources
I have found several websites , documents, books etc online that I think would be great resources for finding info and answering questions some of us may have about Census records, historical events etc.
does anyone know if there is a dedicated group/board here somewhere to post this sort of info?

That kind of information could be shared in one of the groups we have here like the Family History Research group or a state, country or regional group depending on where it had application.
If I wanted to share my knowledge about the book How to get the best from the 1911 census by John Hanson, Society of Genealogists, 2009, I would post something in the England group the Wales group and maybe the British Isles group. I don't think it would be a great fit for Ireland. It is more specific than what I think most users in the Family History Research group could benefit from.
The Germany group is a good example of how the links area on the right side of the group page can be used to point to some of these helpful resources. The Scotland group has a link to "Directory of Gentleman's Seats, Villages etc" because it helped solve an indexer's place-name question. It is a good resource. The links portion of the groups page is a decent place to list a few reference tools. I don't think we want to try to list everything in the group link area. A more comprehensive list of helpful resources is what I expect in the FamilySearch Wiki.

Thanks Darris. Yes, I agree that they should be shared in the group they would help the most. I like the idea of having the links on the right hand side of the page as well in the various groups.

x24mom, I think that sharing this information in the FamilySearch Communities will be very beneficial. I have often benefited from links that have been shared by others. I love it when others share this valuable information. I am anxious to see what you share. Thanks.

Did we give x24mom an answer? My struggle is that we often come back with a response that makes sense to those of us more seasoned in family history research. however the person that could most benefit from the content she is talking about simply doesn’t know where to begin looking for those answers... And part of what we go looking for is based on our current question - whether for ourselves or for someone we are helping. If I send someone down several turns in the path to find their answer, I’m going to see glazed eyeballs... I for one have several Communities that I follow, but don’t always have time to dig down in each one.
X24mom - please list those links in this email chain. I will then go bookmark them so that I could point others to them when they encounter those questions.

Thank you all for your help:) my list is quite lengthy. I will post here ... it’s just links that I’ve saved to my iPhone notes (kinda my own personal “Cindy’s List”) but I’m happy to share. They’re in no particular order but I saved them because I personally found them all useful and FREE!!

Ok I hope this works
.....and it didn’t .... it said text was too long, so I saved to files and tried to create text attachment, but then it said “the image is going through moderation” and that I should try again later .... so I’ll try again later

ok. Text attachment isn’t gonna work because it’s just that... text... no clickable links .... uugghh!!! 😆 😬 so I’m gonna try to separate and categorize them the best I can. Then I’ll try to post each set categorically.... unless someone has a better idea???? 🤗I’m all ears 👂 🤗

@X24mom X24mom FamilySearch uses the Research Wiki to do what you are suggesting. I am surprised that no one suggested you go take a look there to see if your materials are there or not. If you have information that isn't there you can always add the content to the Wiki - that is why it is in Wiki format. Check it out at: https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Main_Page

Ty @Robert Givens i use that a lot. I just have the links saved to my iPhone notes, they aren’t categorized or anything lol. It would take me forever to try to figure out where to try to add them. I also wasn’t aware of the links at the bottom of each group page I use iPhone mostly so it doesn’t show up “on the right” like I’ve seem some mention lol. Thank you for your information. I hope to have time someday to put them all into categories:)
