I found this by accident. I'm an admin for 14 surname DNA projects on FTDNA and have written dozens of blog articles on the Y, including this one: http://blog.ancestraldata.com/viewer.pl?2019-02-26-YDNA.html

I'd like to start a group here but can't find the proper link.

If you go to the How to Use Community group there should be a link on the right hand side of the page.

Michael, what kind of group would you like to start? I think they are missing a group leader for this group and would love your help here too if you're interested!

I'm surprised I wasn't more specific. I'd like to start a group specific to the Y-DNA. It wouldn't be specific to a surname, just a forum for the understanding the Y chromosome and why it's important to surname studies.
