I'm still new to Danish research. Does anyone have suggestions on how to find the parents of this ma
I have research each of his children's lines and have verified that information. Now going back on his line, I don't know where to start. The marriage record did not have any helpful information about where he was from. Other records suggest that he might be born around 1775-1780 but I don't know where. The censuses already attached do not have a birth location that I can see. There is a christening date that I think is wrong. There are no sources for it. Any suggestions??
(@Shari Duce I think you might have done some work on this person)

There are some records you could look at, the 1787 census he will be a child with his parents or caregivers. I see a good possible match with a birth on 5 Mar 1780. I looked through the christenings and didn't see one that seemed a better match. I don't see complete death info in FS so you could look at that. The 1845 census says he was 69 years old and born in Haarslev, that would be a birth about 1776 which doesn't match the info showing in FS. I'm thinking he didn't accurately know his age.
A possible match: 1801 census 20 years old shoemaker in Bogense Købstad.

Probable family for Jens. If you look at the christening of Jens' daughter Maren you'll see two sisters of Jens as witnesses.

Would this be the christening record for that Jens Jespersen? I think the date is only referenced as a holiday. Do you know what holiday that is? How do we know the father's full name? There is an indexed record (not attached to an image) that has it. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-99Z6-FW8W?i=181

or is this record the more expanded version? https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QSQ-G9Z6-F7XK?i=359

The second record is a christening. The first you shared is from a copy. The clerk has condensed the christenings in a copy (Kontra-Ministerialbog) so this is a great tool for you to use. The handwriting of the original entries is nicely done but the copy makes a quick search. The clerk is recording the feast days at the end of the entries. The word you asked about is an abbreviation of the feast day, Bebud. dag

The beginning of the christening gives this date, Maria Bebudelsedag (see Judica) = 12 March. https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Denmark:_Moveable_Feast_Days_in_1780

The father is Jesper Henrichsen.

Thank you for the help! I really am learning so much and really appreciate it. The Jens we have found here seems to be a really good fit for my Jens. Is there any point at looking as this Jens who is born two year s later to Jesper Henrichsen who appears to be a twin? He is born on 17 Sept (or is christened on that date) 1https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QSQ-G9Z6-F786?i=366782

Yes, the 2nd record is worth considering, but I don't see a mention of twins. It's possible the first Jens dies and the next son given the same name. It's also possible to name two sons the same name when the first one is still living. You could review the deaths. We know Jens must be in the 1787 census so you could review that and see if there are two possiblities. Jen's father dies leaving small children, there could be a probate that discusses his children.
I do see a confirmation in 1795 for Jens. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-99Z6-F79N?i=408

Becca, usually starting at age 14 but can be later. A great article for you from the FamilySearch wiki https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Denmark_Confirmation_Records
