Tech Question: What do I do if my cell phone won't connect to Ancestry?
I have a Samsung J7. I use the Family Tree App! When on a person and I want to search records in Ancestry I've always been able to click search there and it goes. For some unknown reason it only gives me the option to choose Samsung internet and give them permission. I don't want to use that internet so I don't know what to do!
Yes, I called my cellphone company and they said talk to Family Tree App.
I can use the Ancestry App on it's own, but it doesn't connect to my Family Search Family Tree App.
Anyone smarter on this tech stuff than myself?

Can you send screen shots of what you get? My android phone goes directly to my internet browser and pulls up Ancestry.com as you described. Is this a new phone or was it previously working properly on this same phone but now has stopped?
If you can send a few more details on your experience, we'll see how many folks can test things out and see if we can get any clarity on your problem.

Shelly No reports of my first instinct, broken communication between Ancestry and FS. It happens sometimes. But with zero reports, that's not the issue. Is this an all the time thing, or just lately?

Shelly, I am wondering if your phone is still working with the app?

@Carolyn Webber I can use the Ancestry App and/or the FamilySearch Tree App on my phone while I have Community.FamilySearch.org open through my Google internet browser on my phone.

I love having my phone as an extra screen. I also use a couple of tvs as extra monitors.
