Are there Church records from Migehnen, Braunsberg, Ostpreussen?
I am looking for Church records for Migehnen, Braunsberg, Ostpreussen any time from 1500-1900?

To clarify, you looking for Catholic church records for Migehnen? Where have you looked that told you records no longer exist for this area?

I see. Those tables can be quite good, but I have noticed that sometimes they are not completely filled out. In this instance though it appears as if the Catholic church records really don't exist (at least no one knows where they are if they do still exist). If you're interested in records for 1874 and more recent you could use civil registration records instead since those would include the Catholics. Some of those records are available here: https://szukajwarchiwach.pl/9/616/0#tabJednostki. Only the years 1874-1877 appear to be digitized at this time.

@Camille_Andrus Camille_Andrus Thank for pointing us to the civil records! I didn't know they were available and digitized and they are already helpuing in other parts of our search!
As for the Migehnen records, perhaps they will turn up someday.

Do you know if they are continuing to index more of these civic records.
It also seems unique that these civic records are online in the first place. My experience is German civic records all cost money to access. Perhaps because they reside in Poland now?

@LayneM LayneM it depends on the archive. For example there are many civil registration records from Hessen (within modern Germany) that are also available online. I do think this indexing is an ongoing effort, but it doesn't seem to have had much expansion lately.
