Merge Changes
WHY, WHY, Does recent Merge Changes come under the New ID 9H9S-M28 ISSUED and NOT the original L5TK-P6D:- which to my mind, and ALL the proper, more correct, detail take the back-seat when issuing the latest Merge Number be L5TK-P6D. Please explain as to Why (?) is it so as the inconsistency is TOTALLY RELATED to the later dubious incursions, in M28. e,g, No Mother, and missed bulk of my Aunts & Uncles (All up totally missed 7 people)
I fully recommend that the original L5TK-P6D be re-instated as the new Merge No, will always bring back memories as "The NEED for Merge was totally due to INCORRECT Input, in the second place"
Commonsense should prevail?

I'm a little confused by your question. Merges always involve two original profiles. No new ID's are issued. The user doing the merge has full control of which of the two original ID's to keep as the surviving profile and which to have as the tombstoned/deleted profile. The Merge Analysis information is put on both profiles.
Looking at the two ID's you mention, I see that one was imported into Family Tree in 2012. The other was created in by another user in 2016. Only the two of you have been working on the two profiles being merged. Have you attempted to contacted her, determined how the two of you are related, and had a calm discussion about the profile and the best information to have on it?
In any event, if you want the profile to have the ID L5TK-P6D, then go to the change log on the surviving profile:
Click on Merge Analysis to open this:
Click undo merge. Then redo the merge in the opposite order. That is, merge 9H9S-M28 into L5TK-P6D instead of the way you did it the first time.
