Translation/Clarification
I have a question about a specific film I accessed in the SLC library earlier this year. The records are written in Italian and Latin, neither of which I read or write. I would like to have someone fluent in these languages or at least familiar with Italian research look at this film and see if they can help me. I do not require transcription/translation, just clarification.

I am looking at items 3-18 (but primarily 4-7) and my question is about the indexes which don’t seem to relate to the records.
In Item 4 - the surnames I’m searching include Pizzini, and the index is found in images 362-64. This index looks like it is for marriages - two names given here? But the records in Item 4 are baptism records.
When time permits, might someone familiar with these records take a look at this film and tell me if I am interpreting the index and the records correctly, and whether they should correspond or if there is some error which has put the marriages index in with the baptism records?

The film is only available in person in SLC so it may be quite some time before someone who frequents this forum visits the FamilySearch Library and might be able to answer your question.

@Barbara Ball The index and book are for baptisms. The index is showing the surname, then the given name of the child and then the given names of both parents. What is confusing is that they are using the ditto marks for the surnames after the first time it is listed. So, the entries are actually like this:
Manice, Domca. di Valentino ed Elis. 18
" Bartol. di Giov ed Cecilia 18
" GBatta di GBatta ed Elisab. 18
" Domca. di Tomaso ed Catar. 18
Miorando, Domca di Valent. ed Margta. 18
Manice, Domca di Lorenzo ed Margta 19
" Valentino di Giov ed Catar. 19
So, as I compared the index to the pages, the index is in different handwriting. The indexer didn't keep the page numbers exactly as they are in the book, for example in the above transcription, the third entry, "Manice, Giovanbattista son of Giovanbattista & Elizabetta" is actually half way down the front side of folio 19. And Domenica daughter of Tomaso and Catarina is last entry on that same side. So, while they are different, they shouldn't be too far off from the index. I am also noting that in the actual records sometimes the surname is directly after the father and sometimes the surname is put in after the mother. It doesn't seem to be related to whether the parents are married or not and disappointingly, this particular book doesn't seem to give the mother's maiden name. Note also that the index appears to be in Italian while the book was written in Latin.
This Manice family must be a founding family because there are A TON of them in this book!

Pizzini, Antonio di Bartolo et Antonia
So, Antonio Pizzini [child] of Bartolo and Antonia. There are some instances of women's maiden names but they are not consistent. And you're right - they are a combination of Italian and Latin. I read neither, not even Spanish!
My son-in-law is descended from a Pizzini & Manica marriage. They were profilic in this area of Trentino.
