I have a brother August Leidich (P744-WSH) who arrived at Ellis Island in 1900. When I looked at his passenger info his passage was paid for by another brother from Costello, Potter, Pennsylvania. See link. I originally thought August was the first. He came from Rokie, Russia. As you can see August's passage was paid for by a brother living in Costello, Potter, Pennsylvania, United sTates in 1900. I have tried looking the mystery brother in Costello Pennsylvania on the 1900 US Census. But I have been unsuccessful. Are there records in Russia where I might find the two brothers together. I know the parents names, Georg Leidich and Anna Hochleiter. They are Lutheran.

@KelleyGregson You might enjoy exploring the Poland Genealogy Wiki pages—they’re a guide for learning where family records can be found and whether they’re available. Since your family was Lutheran, a specific resource to check is the Russia Lutheran Church Book Duplicates (1833–1885). Although limited numbers of records, they may have details that could help you trace your relatives.

    Hope this helps!
