I think I solved a mystery: I was looking for a birth record of my ancestor Piotr Fortunat born between May 1868 and April 1869 in Kielce (if you believe data from his marriage record) but could not find it. It was a big surprise to hear last night that Ignacy had a second name Fortunat! And he was born within the right time bracket! I think that he was named Ignacy after his grandfather Ignacy Węglowski, but preferred to be known as Piotr, after his father. It may likely be the same person, the one I was looking for!
