Could you please help me with the translation of this baptismal record. I do not know where it is from. I only have an image of a page. The mother's name is have shadowed and I'm having trouble reading her maiden name. There are two words. The person is Johann Gawron. My client underlined it on the document. (Don't even start with that.) I appreciate your help today. Thank you for your expertise. Suz

I received an email saying the images I sent were not allowed. I'm not sure what was wrong. Can you please advise me.

    Thank you

If you can, attach a link to the record if the image cannot be posted.

Thank you for this translation. I did not see it until today. My question is about the mother's name. I see Catherine and I see Kunda but why is there another word after Kunda? It looks like the same word as the record above Catherine and abbreviated in the records above that. Was it a previous marriage name but it looks like this is an illegitimate birth? Could it be a location? Also you list a place of either the father or mother if the child was illegitimate. Was the child illegitimate and is Trzebun the location of the father or the mother? The record comes from a church in Gdansk with records from either Lesno or Lupisz with Lupisz written in the upper left corner. So the Lesno reference makes sense. Thank you for your help.

The other word after Kunda is Catholic, the religion of the mother; it is often abbreviated as Kath or Kathol. The child Johann was not illegitimate, so the town Trzebun is the residence of the father Stanlislaus Gawron.
