This is German church record from New Orleans, Louisiana. The groom is Johann Baumann and the bride is Margaret Elisabeth Merhoff. The were married July 14, 1860 by a Justice of the Peace. In the first column is there any other information as to maybe their parents or hometown in Germany or Switzerland? Also, could you please give me a guess on the last column which are witnesses? Thank you.

Date of marriage: 14 July 1860.

Date of marriage license: 14 July 1860. 5th Justice of the Peace.

I imagine they all knew where, and it wasn't a hard requirement. Laws are "Guidelines," you know.
