The death of Washington Irving has the following data quality score warning:

  • "The standard "Tarrytown, Greenburgh, Westchester, New York, United States" (ID: 4638727) is used for dates from 1870 onward. This conflicts with the death date of 28 November 1859." (the death date of Washington Irving LHG8-NN4).

Please arrange for a dated place name for Tarrytown prior to 1870.

You will need to request this by going to the Places database entry for Tarrytown at https://www.familysearch.org/en/research/places/?text=4638727&focusedId=4638727 and using the Improve This Place link or by e-mailing the Places Authority Team at placefeedback@familysearch.org

I did use https://www.familysearch.org/en/research/places to make the suggestion. Why am I getting this additional requirement?

Sorry if I'm confused now. If you had already requested the improvement through the Places database, then you didn't need to post the request here. But since you didn't mention in your original post that you had, that was why I suggested you do so.

But I'm not sure what you mean by an additional requirement.

At this point I cannot recall the sequence for making the post. When I went to the URL you suggested I found that the Terrytown suggestion had been approved. Sorry for causing confusion.
