Danish Castle in the Family?
I'm researching my husband's family and story came out that there had been a castle in the family but when one of the heirs was offered it they turned it down. I don't know where it was or when. Ancestors I have are: Philip Stibius Abrahamsen 1793-1852, died in Kettrup Gottrup, Thisted, Denmark - father of Abraham Phillipsen 1823-1910 died in Kettrup Vester Hanherred Thisted, Denmark - father of Jens Abrahamsen 1858-1931 (who immigrated to the US).
If anyone might have a clue about this it would be most appreciated and interesting to pass on. Thanks for any feedback :-)

It looks like Lars Christensen Voldum has bought his former "fæstegård" copyhold farm,
sold half of it to Philip Stibius Abrahamsen. The farm was under "Aagaards Gods, V. Han Herred"
So maybe the decline of inheritance was this small farm. In fact the owner of Aagaard Gods was
the Danish State from 1828-1842, and in 1844 the new owner E. C. Storm starts selling the farms.
