CET vs FamilySearch.org Tree Source Linker
When trying to attach a source "District of Columbia, World War II Draft Registration Cards, 1940-1945" to FamilySearch.org Tree, the Source Linker indicates the source is already attached to my CET Hill Family Tree individual and wants to "Detach" the source from the CET tree. The person in my FamilySearch.org Tree is the same person as in my CET Hill Family Tree. How am I supposed to handle this?

I don't have any experience in creating and using CETs as yet but have been reading about them only last week. According to an article I read you should be able to attach a source to both your CET tree and the same person in Family Tree. Here is the article info and source reference which supports this:
Record Hints
Record hints in the [CET] tree viewer function just as they do in Family Tree. Record hints are found in the Research Help panel on the person page and are generated by background processes. A record persona may show up as a hint for a [CET] person even if that persona has already been attached to a similar person in the Family Tree or any other tree. Any user with edit access to this [CET] tree can accept or reject the hints specified for any person in this tree.
Person Pages
The [CET] person page functions much like the Family Tree person page. Persons contain vital information such as Name, Sex, Birth, Christening, Death, and Burial. [CET] Persons also support the other facts and events supported by Family Tree. The interface for editing data functions the same as in Family Tree. Adding relationships, sources, notes, discussions, and memories also works the same as in Family Tree.
Any changes to the currently viewed person will not change data in the other trees, even if it represents the same person.Source:
You may need to contact FS Support for help for your situation.
All the best.

@anchunter651 Try opening the 2 versions of the tree in different browsers and then you should be able to attach a source to your CET even though the same source is already attached to a profile in the general Family Tree. My experience was the same as yours when having both versions open in the same browser.

Thanks to both of you. I was able to open my Tree in a different browser and add the source. We shouldn't have to do that, but at least it worked.

@anchunter651 I am Robert Kehrer, the sr product manager responsible for this initiative. the guidance you received is accurate. You SHOULD be able to attach a persona in a historical document to two different trees without receiving a warning.
Would you be willing to join me in a brief video call to explore this situation. I want to provide the software engineers the best most complete information to make sure this is investigated and resolved. If you are willing, please message me directly and I'll arrange a brief call.Robert Kehrer, sr prod mgr, familysearch'

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re committed to resolving as many issues as possible, but unfortunately, the report did not include enough information for us to investigate further. Since no additional details were provided, we’re closing this discussion for now. If you or others encounter this issue again, please start a new discussion and include relevant information such as your operating system, browser, URLs, and screenshots if available.
We appreciate your support and engagement. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any future questions or concerns.
Thank you for using CET.
