Where did Saul Simson Grund LHJ5-JSM go to from Hellingsjo, Björketorp?
The following it the book and page for Hellingsjo from 1853 to 1864.
ArkivDigital: Björketorp (O, P) AI:7 (1853-1864) Image: 103 Page: 193

He is at the bottom of page 193. (Two pages per image) He is crossed out with a message about 12 years.
His details page has him getting married about 1854 in Ör parish, but that might not be consistent with the records

I checked the move out record, couldn't find him. Checked Emiweb in case he left Sweden, no luck. Found a Saul Grund in King, Washington. Born 1827-28 in Sweden. Could be him. Can' t find a single record of him after Björketorp Al:7 in Sweden. If Saul left Sweden and lived in Washington he had 3 children that all seem to have died before 1885.

Using google translate, for "rømd føre 12 aar fadred" I think it might mean "escaped from prison 12 years ago." The entry starts in "Moved In" column, so he might have moved in within 1853-1864. He is labeled "Inhys" which I think means a person who lives in the house, but does not contribute to the work. Such people usually go the Fattighus, "Poor House," or die soon. You can see several such people on the same page. You might check the death records or the "poor house" page.

There was no record of him being in prison 12 year earlier. He was only 22 years in 1853. Sometimes messages are left on the last place someone lived. It was more likely he escaped from his master. He was born in the county and more youth were moving to the city for work. There is some evidence to suggest he moved to the United States.

The last word: fadred, if I am reading it correctly, could mean "paternity". does that help?

Possibly? he left home about 1846 and lived in the same place since then. He was not living with his family when he left Björketorp. Maybe he returned home.

I already added the Saul Grund as a possible duplicate. It does seem that they are the same person. I think he would not have been on a passenger list because he possibly didn't have any money. He may have been part of the ships crew. Now I am speculating.

Hedvig Emelia Wikman, b:1811-10-08 is the mother of Wendela Lovisa Lidemark b:1836-11-09, she married Saul Grund 1869-11-24 in King, Washington
Hedvig Emelia Wikmans older sister, Albertina Christina Wikman b:1796-03-02 married Jan Fredrik Grund b:1789-02-14, the couple are the parents of Saul Simson Grund
I actually believe that Saul Simson Grund in King Washington is your Saul
You can find the Wikman family in Ör Sl:5 page 1610 -
Thanks for the extra research on the family. I will proceed and merge the two entries for Saul Grund. Sometimes that is also the best way to also prove it wrong. Thanks everyone for your interest and help.
