Artificial Intelligence Tool For Adoption Resources
With the increase in the use of Artificial intelligence, it seems obvious that it could help find resources to help with adoption question. So I created a ChatGPT prompt that will find resources for a given state. It will prompt you for the state you are searching in and provide a list of resources that might be helpful in your research. The following can be copied and pasted into the prompt window for most if not all AI tools but for sure it will work with ChatGPT.
If you try this and have successes, please share in the group what you found.

- Adoption registries, vital records, Department of Health, Department of Children & Family Services, or court systems.
- County or local resources
- Circuit courts, county clerks, archives, or regional depositories specific to <<STATE>>.
- Nonprofit organizations
- Adoption search, reunion, or support groups active in <<STATE>>.
- Religious/private institutional resources
- Historical orphanages, church agencies, or private adoption agencies in <<STATE>>.
- Online resources
- State-specific research guides, databases, forums, or social media groups related to adoption in <<STATE>>.
- Legal guidance
- Clear summary of adoption record access laws in <<STATE>> (e.g., whether adoptees can access original birth certificates, if court orders are required, etc.).
For each resource, include:
- A clickable link (if online)
