These are two letters referring to my Grandfather, Michael Swatko. I find it interesting that I pretty much hit a dead end once I go back to the old country.

The story was that he was a servant/aide de camp to an officier and this fellow helped him leave. I have seen no documents concerning this.

Anyway, I just turned these up and I am curious.

Thank you for any help.

n.b. I have many many photos of my grandpa from Europe to Maspeth, NY. He does not smile in one of them! Really.
