Hi, I need help reading what's on the back of this photo. There is, what appears to be a handwritten. I think this photo was either taken in Czech and or hungry. The picture is of someone, and looks to be

professionally done. I have another photo that was found with this one. Its from 1896 and is a wedding photo, so I wonder if these could be related.

I also had the hand written part blown up, it hopes that it may be easier to read. Thanks!

I would suggest blowing up the two seals on the picture and try to make them clearer. It should state where the picture was taken. It appears to be Hungarian.

    Csillag

is a Hungarian surname meaning "star".

Mutermei in Hungarian means "Mother's room". In German it means "Mother's Day".

Post the seals when you enhance them.

    Good luck!

I can't read the written part, but that printed background looks like a photo studio's details. Csillagy Lajos seems to be an owner's name. Müttermei means something like "workshop". There is also Újpest under the top picture, which is now a district of Budapest. So I am pretty sure this photo was taken in Budapest. Now to decipher who is in the picture :-)

Thanks Jan for your hard work. I have had an infection and am recovering from neck surgery.
