Hier habe ich Zivilregistratur als Quelle angegeben, 1. weil die katholischen Bücher in handschriftlichem Latein kaum zu erfassen sind, 2. weil in der Zivilregistratur die gesetzlichen und gebräuchlichen Namen jener Zeit drinstanden, 3 gibt es genauere und detailliertere Informationen in der Zivilregistratur als in den Kirchenbüchern. Ich habe einen Heiratseintrag verwendet. Solange ich diese Quelle nicht für eine Eheschließung angebe, bekommt Johann Mußler eine hohe Quellenbewertung. Sobald ich diese Quelle als Quelle für eine Eheschließung angebe, wird die hohe Bewertung zurückgezogen, weil es keine indexierte Quelle dafür gibt

Ich kann ja verstehen, dass die indexierten Quellen einen hohen Stellenwert haben, denn sie wurden sorgfältig ausgelesen und obendrein geprüft, und was User als Quellen angeben, hat Familysearch eben noch NICHT überprüft.

Es ist aber nicht meine Schuld, dass es für diese Ortschaft keine indexierten Quellen gibt. Leider gab es selten Zivilregistratur zu indexieren, obwohl sie auf Familysearch ja durchaus vorhanden ist, gerade im Saarland. wie jetzt dies hier aus Fraulautern. Aber anstatt das zu indexieren, wird die Zivilregistratur von Fraulautern auch noch unter dem Label Kirchenbuch verborgen. Ich dachte erst, dass das ein Fehler ist, und hab das als solchen gemeldet. Die Antwort war ein totales Schweigen.

Ich möchte vorschlagen, die Quellenangaben zu indexieren, die bereits von zahllosen Usern gemacht wurden aus Mangel an indexierten Quellen. Ich helfe auch gerne dabei. Denn die Zivilregistratur von Familysearch sind sehr gute Quellen, besser als alle Kirchenbücher jener Zeit. Zivilregistratur ist genauer und ausführlicher als jeder Kirchenbucheintrag. Wahrscheinlich hat man darum die Zivilregistratur für gesetzlich geltend erklärt.

I have used a marriage entry. As long as I do not cite this source for a marriage, Johann Mußler receives a high source rating. As soon as I cite this source as the source for a marriage, the high rating is withdrawn because there is no indexed source for it.

I understand that indexed sources are highly valued because they have been carefully deciphered and verified, whereas sources cited by users have NOT yet been verified by FamilySearch.

However, it is not my fault that there are no indexed sources for this locality. Unfortunately, there were rarely civil registries to index, even though they are available on FamilySearch, especially in Saarland. Like this one here from Fraulautern. But instead of indexing it, the civil registry of Fraulautern is also hidden under the label “church book.” At first, I thought it was a mistake and reported it as such. The response was total silence.

I would like to suggest indexing the source references that have already been made by countless users due to a lack of indexed sources. I am also happy to help with this. This is because the civil registry records on FamilySearch are very good sources, better than any church records from that time. Civil registry records are more accurate and detailed than any church record entry. This is probably why civil registry records have been declared legally valid.

@Bettina58 You are correct that the record you have sourced as a marriage is civil registration and not a religious record. The entire group of civil registration for Fraulautern has been given the wrong metadata and catalogued as Catholic Church records. As is clearly stated in the records and on the description in the catalog, they were taken from manuscripts in the registry office of Saarlouis. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
