Il sottoscritto Benedetto Santoro, Segretario, delegato del Sindaco agli atti di Nascita e morte, con atto del diciannove Agosto 1890cinque (1895) debitamente approvato, Uffiziale dello Stato Civile del Comune di Catania ha ricevuto dal Sigr. Direttore di quest'Ospizio Provinciale degli Esposti un rapporto in data del ventidue Ottobre corrente anno, che trascrive esattamente per intero: detto rapporto è così concepito

L’anno milleottocentonovantasei il giorno ventidue Ottobre alle ore dieci, è comparso Mignemi Carmela del Comune di Catania che dichiara e di presentare un bambino di sesso femminile dell’apparente età di ore otto, involto nei’ seguente panno: due cuffie, una camicia, un corpettino, un grembiale, una fascia, un faldone, e tre stracci.

Il detto bambino è stato battezzato in Catania il giorno 22 Ottobre 1896 col nome di Virginia Amore al quale è stato apposto il piombo col #2395 - Catania 22 Ottobre 1896 – L’Impiegato ricevente G. Grasso – Il Direttore C. Leonardi

Eseguita la trascrizione ha munito del suo visto ed inserto il rapporto suddetto nel volume degli allegati a questo registro al N. d’ordine 84.

On October 22, 1896, a newborn girl, estimated to be about eight hours old, was brought to the Ospizio degli Esposti in Catania by Carmela Mignoni. She was baptized that same day and given the name Virginia Amore.

In the year1896, on the 10th day of November at 12 p.m., in the Town Hall.

The undersigned Benedetto Santoro, Secretary, Mayor's delegate for Birth and Death Records, with a duly approved deed dated 19th August 1890-five (1895), Civil Status Officer of the Municipality of Catania, received from the Director of this Provincial Foundling Hospice a report dated the 22nd of October of this year, which he transcribes exactly in its entirety: said report is worded as follows:

In the year 1896, on the 22nd of October at 10 a.m., Carmela Mignemi of the Municipality of Catania appeared, declaring and presenting a female child, apparently 8 hours old, wrapped in the following items: two bonnets, a shirt, a bodice, an apron, a sash, a coverlet, and three rags.

The above-mentioned child was baptized in Catania on October 22, 1896, with the name Virginia Amore, and was noted with #2395 - Catania, October 22, 1896 – Receiving Clerk G. Grasso – Director C. Leonardi

After completing the transcription, he signed and inserted the above-mentioned report in the volume of attachments to this register under #84.
