Help identifying my grandfather – possibly using an alias (Photos included)

I’m trying to find out more about my grandfather. His supposed name was John Oliver, but there’s a possibility he may have been using an alias when he married my grandmother.

Here’s what I know:

• Married my Nana around 1959. My dad was born in 1960
• They may have been living in Detroit, MI, but he left her when my father was around 3 years old.
• He appears to be of European descent, medium build, with dark hair combed back and a prominent widow’s peak.
• We don't know where he was born, nor do we know where he died. My dad hired a private investigator, and nothing came of it.
