Adding sources - am I doing it correctly?
This discussion was created from a comment in a different discussion, but should be in its own discussion because it is a different subject.
Would you please give a screenshot of the information from your GEDCOM and from your CET? Also, please add screenshots of the steps you are taking to attach census records from ancestry and showing the issues you are having. What is the PID of your great-grandfather? What is the name of your CET?

I don't know enough to answer your questions.
I do not know how to take screen shots and don't know the PID. My CET is Carolyn Nora Watkins Tree. I am going back to my Roots Magic and fix somethings, then take down my CET and start again. I will have to redo my census records because of changes in the Sources I made. They came out okay on the upload; just not as Census but as Custom Events. My grandfather that I am now trying to make census come out right is Joseph Calvin Dougherty born 1888 Crawford, Dawes, Nebraska.

@Carolyn Gibbons_2 Lets start with what we do know. You created the GEDCOM with RootsMagic. What operating system do you use (windows 11, mac sierra)? What browser do you use? Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge?
a PID is the unique number assigned to everyone in familysearch.
Depending on your computer type and operating system, I can guide you through a screenshot.

I use Chrome for my browser. I am using Windows 11. Use PC not Apple. I just looked at specs and can copy for you if you need more. I have been cleaning up my database which, since I have just over 2300 people is turning out to be quite a task. I am waiting for RootsMagic to update so I can do on RM and then send it to my CET.
I think what I should do is take my tree down, put up only a small portion for testing. I will do this later today. We can start again. Sorry for the confusion.

@Carolyn Gibbons_2 Please be sure to use a different name for both your GEDCOM file and for your CET. You can actually have up to 10 different CETs at one time.
