John Vadas Jr [GK6H-5FQ]
Hello!
Can someone please assist me with information on John Vadas Jr. I am looking for his parents and need help with his grandparents as well. Its incredibly confusing since the father, son, and grandson are all Joannes/ John & I kinda want to pull my hair out over that.

Hi Ashlee - please provide additional information. I don't believe we can search by just the FamilySearch code. So please give some information on what country he emigrated from, his birth year, his spouse, where he lived in the US, etc. And give a link to the page where you see the Family Search indicator. His name could be Slovak or Hungarian and he could have lived anywhere in the Austro-Hungarian empire.
It's very normal to have this "same name" problem. Old Country people didn't feel the need to be as creative with names.
Use any American citizenship information (Declaration of Intent, Naturalization Records) to look up what ship he emigrated on and year of entry. The ship record may give clues to his hometown contacts (who was left behind in the Old Country).

There are multiple existing threads on the Vadas family. Starting a new thread with no background is probably not a good idea.

I looked at the other threads. But it's very hard to find the link to your tree. I found it once, and now I can't easily rediscover it.
You must restate and provide page links and trees for the people that you are working on.
Do you have the naturalization record for John Vadas Jr? It may not be online. If by any chance it would be in Hammond, Indiana like George Jusko's naturalization, this page may help.

By the way, unfortunately, Julia Szent-Gyorgi is no longer active on this site. She was the main person helping with Hungarian matters.

Two other potential sources of parent information are the marriage certificate and the Social Security death record.
