I'm trying to learn! On this page, the left side of the page is births. On the right side, they seem to change. Are these also births? I'm looking particularly at Anna Christoffersdotter and Anders Kjertensson, 2nd from the bottom. What happened on 22 May 1853? What does EL stand for? And who is Goran Christofferson? Thanks for any help!

The link is accessible only at a FS center or affiliated library.
If you provide the parish name, book and page we can look it up in the Riksarkivet

Sorry! It's Sweden Malmohus Church Records, Lackalanga, 1853 births. I don't see a page, but my record shows image 45 if that helps

Thank you. The records extend over both pages. The left page contains the dates of birth and baptism, the parents' names, the child's name, and a tick to indicate whether the child is legitimate or illegitimate and of which sex.
The mother's age, the names of the witnesses, the name or initials of the midwife and the date of churching (kyrktagning) of the mother are given on the right page.
Anna Christoffersdotter, Anders Kjertensson, and Göran Christoffersson were the witnesses at the christening of Nils (Larsson). 'E.L.' are the initials of the midwife, probably Elna Larsdotter (see two pages earlier). The churching of the mother, Kjersti Olsdotter, took place on 22 May 1853, which was approximately five weeks after the birth on 15 April. (Normally it should be 40 days or six weeks after the birth, but this was apparently not taken so seriously.)
