Translation request on birth - two names indicate twins and maybe a death?

Hi,

I am having trouble deciding if this is a birth of twins (boy and girl), or just a girl with two names.

https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070603290375

I'm confused with Line 16: Johannes Berthe, child or children of Johannes Syversen and Berthe Andresdatter, Haug and Vaaler.

I think this is a son and daughter, but maybe I'm getting the name wrong and it is Johanne Bertha. There is a "+" sign, which usually indicates a death, I believe. I'm trying to understand the word written next to the names with that "+" sign.

I have gone to deaths for that year and have not located a death for either name. The closest I have come to is a "Johanne Syversdtr" on line 7. However, age, date and location don't quite match.

So I have three questions - was this a birth of twins? Does the "+" indicate a death? And what is the word written next to the "+"?

Thank you,

Sandy

Definitely twins. The word just next to the little x is, I'm pretty sure, Tvilling which means twin although the initial T looks a little funny. When I've seen a mark next to a child that means it died, I usually see a †, not an x so I'm not sure what, if anything that mark means.

Thank you! I will do some further research and see what I can find out about the girls. I'm also going to add a copy of that word to put in my research glossary of words. I have a chart I keep of hand written words with definitions.
