Translation Request on names
Hi,
I'm trying to figure out the witness names for the baptism of Berte Strand (Line 150), 1863 in Elverum, Hedmark, Norway. She was the daughter of John Johnassen Haug Vaaler and Oline Pederdtr Nordbÿ.
https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070126320137
I can't read the first word, then I believe its' a "T", Liew or Lieu og (and) Kone (wife), Peder Pedersen Nordbÿ, or Ole Olsen ? Stubergen?, Ann Olsdtr ibid.
Any clarity would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Sandy Johnson

This is what I am reading:
Transcription: "Skolelærer P. Lien og Kone, Per Peders[en] Nordby, Ole Ols[en] Stutengen, Anne Olsd[atter) ibid"
Translation: "Schoolteacher P. Lien and wife, Per Peders[sen] Nordby, Ole Ols[en] Stutengen, Anne Olsd[atter] of the same place"
The 1865 census for Elverum lists all these people except P. Lien (see note below). He doesn't show up in the census, but there is a Per Lien (a school teacher) who has a child in 1864 in Elverum. That birth record is here: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/255/pd00000024709325 .
There others are here in the 1865 census:
This may be the Per Pedersen in Nordby: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01038045004259
and Ole Olsen and his daughter Anne in Stutengen: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01038045004764 .
Note: This is possibly Per Lien in the 1865 census (Peder Pedersen): https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01038045003551 . There are several things that line up to make me think he may be Per Lien: he is living in Elverum parish, he is a school teacher, his wife is Serine Gulbrandsdatter (as in the birth record above), and he has a daughter named Julie (the daughters age is a bit off but it is close enough for a census😋).

Thank you so very much! This is extremely helpful! I have been trying to trace the birth village of Berte's mother (Oline Nordby). I have the marriage record of her and husband, but the name of her father has been a bit of a puzzle; it hasn't matched up to any birth record in any of the are parishes that I've researched, so I'm beginning to check the witnesses in the marriage, births of children, etc.
Thank you also for doing the research on Per Lein. I would not have caught that at all. Wow!!
Again, thank you! I really, really appreciate this help!
