Search by Topic Tags not available

As a long time user of Family Search Memories, I am at a loss to understand why this useful feature is no longer available.

I posted an answer to this very real problem in the Memory Feedback Group, but let me post it again here:

Regarding the "Topic Tag" issue….

As you have already noticed, the "Find" page of Memories is not currently active. So, yes, you are unfortunately unable to search the Topic Tags.

The Engineers now this is a problem, but they ask for patience as they try and "upgrade to improved technology for a better user experience."

The "Find" page will return. (Much like the Reorder function in the Albums.) Yes, it is unfortunate that these functions are currently unavailable, but the Engineers are working hard to return them as soon as possible.

Hi Amber,

Thanks for the status update.

As far as improvements, I would like to upload audio to a memory rather than directly recording it. Another option, could be to add an image to an existing uploaded recording.

I also make occasional use of the people search function and so would not like to see this capability removed.

Hi Amber,

I forgot to mention that images associated with Stories seem to disappear and, at times, reappear. Could you please pass along this observation to the Memories Support Team. That said, I sincerely hope this is not another feature that has been deprecated and will eventually be removed.

I have a feeling that the sometimes appearing, sometimes not of images
is merely a reflection of the processes that are running in the background - to load you gallery among other things - that sometimes take precedence over other processes - such as loading image thumbails etc.

I have also notice every once in a while - the whole memories thing seems to hit a bug / error and then automatically reloads or repoints you at the gallery refresh.
some sort of erratic unpredicatable failure in some sort of background process.

It's hard to know the exact cause or sequence of events. I tried deleting the Family Search cookies which seemed to fix my most recent problem (I used the /cookies URL suffix).

I also noticed that the gallery pages seem to refresh for no clear reason.

All of this odd behaviour suggests to me that there may be some quality control issues related to the recent changes.
