Reading a Husförhörslängder
I found a family recorded in the 1829-1838 Household Exam. It looks like the various family members moved away from the Köpings, Västmanland parish between the years of 1831-1834
It looks like the record says to go to the Staden book, but I don't know where Staden is. I've looked at the Malmö records on those pages, without any luck.
Does anyone have a suggestion of which parish I should be looking at so I can follow this family into the next survey?
Thank you,
Julia

Note that Köping, Västmanland had two parishes (församling): a landsförsamling, which comprised the villages around the town of Köping, and a stadsförsamling for the actual town. If people moved to Staden it means probably that they moved to the town and can be found in the husförhörslängd of the stadsförsamling.
Here is a link to the husförhörslängd of the stadsförsamling 1829-1838, which includes a register of persons:

The parish you are looking at (Köping), includes a "landsförsamling = rural parish" as well as a "stadsförsamling = city parish". You should look for them in the Köping stadsförsamling.

Thank you. That's exactly where I found them!
