Translation request - 1840 Polish marriage record written in Latin
Hi. I finally started to uncover my Polish heritage after being brick walled for years in that branch of my family. All my Polish ancestors so far come from the Galicia/Krakow region which fell under Austria-Hungary during the partition.
I found this marriage record of Andrzej Zając and Regina Piechnik (2nd page). I managed to decipher the actual bride and groom info with lots of difficulty and the help of AI. But not even AI can help with the bottom part (probably about the priest) starting with "consensus dominii…".
Anyone able to transcribe/translate that part for me?

I don't have training in Latin, but I would recommend that you look at other pages and see if the same type of message is written repeatedly, so you can better identify the exact letters and words.
I wonder if what you see as "consensus" could be "consorsus " (something related to consors, meaning spouse or marriage, like consort).
One guess might be that the message is the scribe closing out the year by attesting that this is the record of all the marriages that happened during the time period (here, 1839). And the one on the other page might be for 1840, although it's a short year. Sometimes these messages appear during times of transition from one scribe to another. Sometimes they are annual closeout messages. There has to be a reason for the repetition. See if you can deduce the reason, then you'll understand if it's something you absolutely need translated or not.
Is there a reason why you believe this message relates specifically to your people, other than it appears below their names?

Someone translated: "the witness of Cajetan Hruschkan, the parish priest of Szczyszy".
I think that might be "Capelanus" (a church position like chaplain).
