Translation Request
My spouses father's line originates from Germany we have been told, but to this point we haven't traced the family back to Germany. The family moved to Russia/Poland/Ukraine when Catherine the Great was encouraging Germans to move there to teach people new farming techniques. Small bits of information states that the family was in Zakrzyn, Kalisz, Wielkopolskie, Poland.
I have recently received an item of information from someone in Germany (they contacted me on the CHAT on Family Search) that is working on my spouses family line. I am unable to translate it. He states the items are from the Poznan Project website
The above link I have been told is in Russian Cryptic Script (?), but appears to be from Poland. It is the birth record of my husband's first cousin three times removed. August Giering (G6V1-XBL) , born Oct. 7, 1848 in Zakrzyn, Kalisz, Wielkopolskie, Poland. I think it is item #88.
Prazuchy, Nov. 3. 1839 Father: Christian Giering, colonist in Zakrzyn, 35 y. witnesses: George Schulz, 38, colonist in Zakrzyn and Johann Friedrich Lucius, colonist in Zakrzyn, 26 y.* in Zakrzyn on Oct. 25 of Justine Janott, 22 y. name: August godparents: George Schulz and Friederike Giering
Could you confirm that the information is as stated or clarify what exactly it is please?

Thank-you so much for the information. I see that I am mixing up the August Gering's in my family line, sorry for the confusion.
As to the marriage of Krystian Giering and Justyna Janot - I did follow your instructions on how to locate the item. I think I have located it, but I am unable to understand what is actually on the document and confirm who it actually belongs to.
If you are able to translate the document for me I would really appreciate it and again thank-you so much for your time.
