It reads: Nils Ersson from Grafven and Friksdals parish in Värmland. Declined into a arduous (or strenuous) internal sickness on 7 May when he came here to purchase scythes, gave himself the day after to partake with the Holy Communion, prepared himself very well and Christian. Later he felt pain in the chest and cough which entirely took hope for life. (died) 11 June, (buried) 14 June, 30 years old.
There isn’t a parish named Friksdal in Värmland county, but there is a Fryksdal härad. There are 9 nine parishes in the härad and farm named Gruvan in Vitsand which is in the Fryksdal härad. I think the pastor in Lima, Kopparberg was either misinformed or he didn’t remember correctly.
