Could someone please translate the large middle column (the status info) of this marriage record for Arfvid Ekebom and Maria Jansdotter? Maria was previously married to the Soldier Liljeblad, and I want to make sure I don't misunderstand the information in this record.
If possible, I would really like a transcription of the Swedish text, and a translation into English, please.

Thank you very much for considering my request.

    Partial Transcription:

    ka

    För Äktenskaps brott
    ?? g?. öfvergifven hustru
    af med döden Afl.
    Soldat Liljeblad

    Partial Translation:

Widower and Cottager at Backa (info on the groom)

For adultery (info on the bride)
    ???? forsaken wife
    of deceased
    soldier Liljeblad

Some helpful context is found in this birth record for the illegitimate twins Sara and Stina born on 28 Jun (first entry on left page)https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0051351_00010

The mother is not named specifically, but it says:
Hustru til Soldat Liljeblad på Backa, Genom Ägtenskapsbrott skild fran Sin Man (age 30)

Wife of the Soldier Liljeblad at Backa, through adultery divorced from her husband

Through some research, I was able to find Arvid's first wife's estate inventory in 1807, her name was Greta Larsdotter

I was also able to find an interesting match for the Soldier Liljeblad, a man named Petter Liljeblad. According to his probate, he died before 1808. This would fit well for him being alive when Maria's (his now ex wife) twins were born in 1807, but deceased by 1809 when his ex wife remarried to Arvid. The place and timing match.

Lastly, Arvid Ekebom had a probate in 1827. At his death, he left behind his wife Maria Johansdotter (same as Jansdotter) and a daughter Christina Arvidsdatter (almost certainly the same as one of the twins, Stina, born in 1807)

Unfortunately, the records in Ledsjö burned in 1807 making it difficult to find additional answers. But the story from these above records appears to be thus: Petter Liljeblad was married to Maria Jansdotter when she had twins, Stina and Sara, in 1807 with another man who is not named. Petter and Maria were divorced because of the adultery. However, Maria later married Arvid Ekebom who likely claimed he was the father of of the twins, otherwise Stina could not have inherited from Arvid. Arvid was a widower when the twins were born. His wife Greta Larsdotter died sometime before 1807. After the divorce, Petter Liljeblad went and married Lena Andersdotter who survived him. It seems Petter and Maria had no children together.

    Forrest,
Thank you so much for your in-depth analysis, along with the transcription and translation. I'm working on proving the identity of the parents of Stina Arfvidsdotter (based on the birth/baptism record you mentioned). The twin Sara died shortly after birth. My preliminary conclusion matches yours, based on these records plus mantalslängder, and the earliest extant Household Examination books for Ledsjö.

I haven't looked at the probate records yet, but I thank you very much for pointing them out. I will definitely check those out next. It looks like they offer even stronger evidence for confirming Arfvid and Maria as Stina's parents. I also suspect there should be some court records pertaining to the adultery case, especially since the marriage wasn't immediately after the birth, but 1.5 years after.

I am grateful for your help. Thank you.
    Melissa
